Our Lady of Hope PREPARES Program, Needs You as a Direct Volunteer for Families in Need!
One of the greatest gifts we can give is of ourselves, to walk with another in need … PREPARES Pregnancy and Parenting Support’s main goal is to encounter and engage with all types of families and support them along their early parenting journey.
What does being a “direct volunteer” look like? 
Filling out an application, reference check, background check, and receiving initial training.
Being matched with a family in need, & texting word of support to a scared first time mom, or driving supplies to a mom who does not have any transportation.
The need is great, but the reward of volunteering and helping to create stable, loving families, is far greater.

Thank you to everyone who generously leaves packages of diapers and wipes in the basket in the vestibule weekly.  It has made a big difference.  With the recent formula shortage and the rising costs of basic necessities, we need help!  We are currently in need of larger sized diapers (Size 5 & 6), Pull-ups 4T-5T, diaper wipes, and rash ointment. We always appreciate clothing donations, especially Newborn-5T. Pajamas are always welcome. We do accept older children type items, but they must be in “like new” condition.   Please leave your donation in the crib located in the vestibule. If you would rather make a cash donation, tuck an envelope in the basket-place it at the bottom-We will pick it up quickly. If you have a donation too large to leave at the church, please call Sheila to arrange a pickup/drop off time.

Currently we are distributing diapers every Saturday from 10AM-11AM at the Bridge to Hope Center located at 2619 Cedar St.  Everett, WA

PREPARES is a statewide initiative of the Catholic Bishops of Washington State. We provide pregnancy and parenting support and activities through Catholic parishes across Washington State, serving all families from pregnancy to their child's fifth birthday. All are welcome to participate in the free support that PREPARES provides.
PREPARES supports the commitment to the sanctity of human life, especially in its most vulnerable early stages. It seeks not only to assure healthy births and avoid the tragedy of abortion, but also to provide emotional support to nurture healthy and flourishing relationships that uphold the vision of the family as the essential unit of society.
PREPARES works with parishes to develop support for pregnant women and families and vary based on the parish. Please see our PREPARES ministry locator to find available support in your area. You do not need to be Catholic to receive anything through PREPARES.
