As a Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion, lay people can serve the Catholic Church by distributing Holy Communion during Mass or to the sick or homebound at homes, adult family homes, retirement centers, assisted living and nursing homes. An Extraordinary Minister must be fully initiated as a member of the Church (having received the Sacrament of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation) This ministry is extremely spiritual and personally fulfilling.

Responding to the call of Jesus Christ to love God and love our neighbors, the Social Action Committee parishes exist for the following reasons:
The committee sponsors speakers on Social Justice topics and a monthly bulletin column on topics of social justice. Efforts of this committee have resulted in Mental Health Ministry; the Care Team Ministry and the Outreach Ministries Commission being established in our parishes.
The Social Action Committee meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday, 7:00-8:30 PM in St. Mary's Hall.
