The tiles used on the roof were made here in Everett at the Everett Brick Yard that was located where Everett Memorial Stadium is now.
Roof work included:
*Knocking off the large amount of moss and gutters cleaned out.
*All ridge tiles removed. New 24" wide, 2# lead flashing installed over rusted out galvanized flashing. Ridge tiles reinstalled with Stainless Steel screw fasteners.
*All hip tiles removed. Nails were very loose on these tiles. New 16" wide, 2# lead flashing installed over NO flashing. Hip tiles were reinstalled with Stainless Steel screw fasteners.
*Over 250 individual tiles were replaced with spare tiles. This may seem like a lot but there are over 18,000 tiles on that roof that is just a drop in the bucket.
*The 3 roof turrets that vent the roof were originally painted galvanized metal. A Rust Oleum Heavy Metal Primer was sprayed on followed by a Sherwin Williams industrial enamel finish coat. Much of the turret flashings were replaced with lead flashings.
*Chimney had copper flashing repaired and new lead flashings were installed.
*The 2 valleys on the roof are copper. They were cleaned and a few pin holes were repaired, and valleys coated with a roof coating.
*The flat roofs over the side entries of the chapel are copper. They were cleaned. A couple of pin holes were found and repaired. They were coated with a roof coating.
*The casted cross on front of church as some spauling on top that would let the water in. The top sides were cleaned and coated with an industrial sealant. This should keep the weather out.
